Not only are our estheticians ready and trained to give you a pleasant first experience, but the results and outcomes help you feel carefree while you’re showing some skin! Over the next few weeks we’ll share more in-depth posts about preparing for your wax and caring for your wax to ensure that your waxing experience lasts as long as possible and is as painless as possible!

Today, we’re tackling some FAQs on all things waxing!

What type of wax do we use?

At Posh, we use hard or soft soy-based wax for all of our waxing services. From eyebrow waxing to a brazilian, our goal is to make waxing as comfortable as possible. Nufree is our soy-based wax that was created and chosen for use on sensitive skin. We also have Cirepil, a hard wax, which dries onto the skin and doesn’t require a strip to be pulled.

What types of services do we offer?

Our waxing services are offered to both men and women. For the head, we offer brow, lip, neck, and ear waxing. We offer underarm, chest, back, and arm waxing as well. For women only, we offer bikini, french bikini, and brazilian waxes. For the full list, visit our services page.

What types of services should I get?

This is completely up to you! If you’d like to talk to our estheticians before you come in, feel free to call the salon. Doing a little research beforehand on the type of wax that will work for you is also a good opportunity to educate yourself on the styles we offer. We’re here to answer any questions you have and help you feel comfortable!

I have a vacation coming up...when should I come in?

If it’s your first time and you’re not sure how your skin will react to waxing, give yourself a cushion period of a few days before the vacation. Some redness and swelling is normal, but will go away within a few days. Waxing is recommended every 4-6 weeks depending on you hair growth. After your wax, our estheticians will recommend when to come in next based on your specific hair.

How do I know if waxing is for me?

It’s for everyone. While your first few waxes may be a bit tougher if you usually use a razor, waxing is a great way to remove hair in a way that is healthy, easy, and lasts longer than shaving.
