We caught up with our owner, Nadia Duncan, to chat more about this balancing act. Nadia is a mother to three, a wife, and a business owner. While it’s never easy, she wouldn’t have it any other way!

“Juggling motherhood and work is a constant struggle. I stayed home with my two older children and absolutely loved it. I know what it’s like to be both a stay at home mom and a working mom, as now with my youngest I work to build Posh salon and make it a place of relaxation and pampering for the people of Williamsburg and beyond. This time around with my youngest, I couldn’t imagine not working. While of course I miss her while I’m at work, I love coming home to her and spending quality time with her.”
Not only does Nadia love being a mom, but she loves connecting with other moms too. The staff at Posh is full of moms with kids of all ages. Because Nadia knows how hard it can be to juggle it all, she tries to make it as accommodating as possible for her staff to be there for their kids when needed. Not only is this important in the professional lives of moms, but in their personal and family lives as well!
“Moms often forget about taking care of themselves…they always tend to come last when it comes to balancing their family and lives. I love when a mom comes into the salon because not only do we get to pamper her, but we can have adult conversations with her and help her enjoy the time out. We are blessed in our industry to be able to have wonderful relationships with our guests and as a mom, I know sometimes all I need is to have a non-kid related conversation!”
