LET’S TALK FIRST IMPRESSIONS: LIZZY ON THE IMPORTANCE OF GUEST RELATIONS

Not only do we help you feel confident to make a killer impression everywhere you go, but we also strive to create an atmosphere that makes you feel welcomed and positive. While that is in every detail about the services we provide, it all starts at the front of our salon!

If you’ve ever called or come into the studio, you’ve likely interacted with our Guest Relations team. These are the smiling faces that greet you and answer any questions you may have. The overall client experience is a top priority for all of our staff members at Posh, from management to hairstylists, makeup artists, and estheticians. Our Guest Relations team is made up of six members who are ready to make your visit here incredible.

CATCHING UP WITH LIZZY

We caught up with Lizzy Pipman, our Bridal Coordinator on our Guest Relations team, to learn more about what makes our Guest Relations team different than any other salon. Lizzy earned her Bachelor’s Degree in both Advertising/Public Relations and Speech Communications from Penn State University with honors, making her the perfect fit for our Guest Relations team.

She is a special needs mom of two boys with a passion for personal styling and is a sucker for fabulous costume jewelry. As our bridal coordinator, she works with our Posh Brides to develop the ideal bridal beauty plan to see her through her special day.

 

WHAT MAKES THE GUEST RELATIONS TEAM AT POSH DIFFERENT FROM OTHER SALONS?

“Our goal is to exceed the clients’ expectations at every opportunity. We want them to feel pampered and cared for in a way that goes beyond the technical expectations of checking in/out and scheduling appointments. We want our clients to not only look good, but to feel incredible. We always strive to provide a friendly, efficient front desk experience and look for every opportunity to delight our clients! We want to make you feel like family – because you are part of the Posh family”

 

WHAT ARE SOME OF YOUR FAVORITE THINGS ABOUT YOUR GUEST RELATIONS TEAM?

“Our Guest Relations team comes from a diverse background of education and experience, which only makes us stronger.  Several of our team members have cosmetology certifications and are proficient in hair and/or makeup. Others have worked in the education, public relations, and/or fashion industries.  We each bring a little something different to the table!”

 

WHAT ARE SOME WORDS YOU WOULD USE TO DESCRIBE THE GUEST RELATIONS TEAM STAFF?

  • Hardworking – We’re on our feet all day! Comfortable (and stylish) shoes are key.

  • Multitasking – Each one of us has at least six different things going on simultaneously at any given time. Things can get a little crazy up here at the front!

  • Dedicated – We truly believe in the atmosphere Posh has created and love being a part of making you feel fabulous.

  • Caffeinated – Let’s be honest, coffee, tea, or Coca-Cola is what keeps us running!

  • Creative – The great thing about working on this team at a salon is that we all share a passion for the beauty and style industry. This passion and background knowledge helps us be the best at what we do.

  • Professional – We handle every situation with the same professionalism and with your happiness in mind.

  • Friendly – We’re always excited to meet new people and introduce you to the salon. Making you feel comfortable means we’re doing our job right!

  • Caring – Even though I often interact with more than 200 clients in a single shift, I always try my best to remember their name. I want to greet you as you enter and to know that you like your coffee with cream but no sugar. It’s all about the details and personalizing the experience for each guest!

 

WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE PART ABOUT WHAT YOU DO?

“We get to be part of some of the biggest moments in our clients’ lives: proms, weddings, military balls, graduations, the list goes on. But we’re also there for the not-so-great moments: losses of loved ones, illnesses, and injuries. Developing a connection with our guests that exceeds the transactional, “business” side of the job is, for me, the most rewarding part. Yes, I want to know if your haircut and scalp massage were amazing…but I also want to know, how was your son’s wedding?  Your visit with the grandkids? And, of course, where did you get that amazing necklace?”
