As you may know, October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. Here at Posh, you might have noticed a little bit more pink around the salon. The pink ribbon is the international symbol of breast cancer awareness. The color pink, as well as the ribbons, are a way to showcase moral support for women with breast cancer. They are also used to represent the solidarity of women who are survivors or to remember those who fought bravely.
Around the salon, you’ll see a few ways you can directly impact and support breast cancer awareness! Today, we want to share those ways with you. We thank you in advance for your generosity.
SUPPORT HERE FOR THE GIRLS!
While we have an opportunity for you to support breast cancer research through Aveda (we’ll get to that next), we’ve also chosen to support a local cause. All month long, you’ll have the opportunity to make a donation at checkout in support of Here for the Girls Virginia. Here for the Girls (H4TG) is a nonprofit that works to improve the lives of young women affected by breast cancer. They do this in three ways – through Beyond Boobs!, an in-person support community, Pink Link, an online support community, and through H4TG events and opportunities.
