Today’s Team Member Spotlight is on Lexi! We love to celebrate the members of our team and introduce them to you if you haven’t gotten the chance to meet them before. Lexi is a talented Stylist and Esthetician who has been with us for the past three and a half years. We’re so glad she found us and that she’s on our team here at Posh!
HER START WITH AVEDA
It’s no wonder Lexi landed here, as she has an extensive background that all began at Aveda Institutes. When Lexi was in high school as a junior, she discovered that she was interested in the beauty industry. She had the opportunity to attend an available technical school focusing on cosmetology to follow this interest. It became her passion, and after graduating, she went on to attend the Aveda Institute.
Lexi attended the Aveda Institute of Chapel Hill to study Cosmetology and the Aveda Institute of Charlotte to obtain her license as an Esthetician. She wears two hats at Posh, serving clients both in the chair and in our luxury wax, massage, and facial room. In our salon, Lexi provides hair services including cuts and colors. As an Esthetician, she is able to perform waxing and facials. She is also able to provide makeup services for clients.
HER TIME HERE AT POSH
When it comes to styling, her favorite services are balayage and working with dimensional color. When it comes to her work as an esthetician, her favorite service is waxing. Lexi’s favorite memories of her time at Posh are the retreats where we are able to all connect and spend time together outside of the salon. We are full believers in the power of a cohesive team, which is why we try and find opportunities to be together and grow as a team. This also includes our educational aspect, which is one of Lexi’s favorite things about working at Posh.
With her background and education from Aveda, Lexi feels right at home with our educational opportunities as a salon. By bringing in professionals in the Aveda network, our team is able to learn from the best as they grow in their skills as stylists. Lexi has enjoyed the classes that we hold in the salon as well as traveling to see some of Aveda’s leading professionals in action. She is grateful for the ability to continue her education here and always be kept up to date on the latest in hair and Aveda.
OUTSIDE THE SALON
Outside of the salon, Lexi loves the great outdoors and spending time with her husband, Robbie and their fur-baby, Brody. They enjoy taking their camper to the beach or mountains for a weekend away when they get the chance. As a native of Yorktown, she loves the beach and the area she calls home.
