As we wrapped up 2019 and entered into 2020, we wanted to take some time to look back on all the past year has had in store. 2019 was a year full of growth as a salon and as a team. We met new clients, took part in new Aveda educational opportunities, and hosted events. We cut hair, colored hair, and did all the things you can do to hair! We gave massages, facials, and brought a new CBD line into the salon. We got closer, met (and exceeded) goals, and continued to build a salon we’re proud to share with you!
To look back on the past year, we wanted to highlight a few of the things we’re most excited about. As always, we wouldn’t be where we are without support from all of those who love Posh and who believe in our mission. Thanks for believing in us and for letting us help you feel your absolute best…we can’t wait to see what 2020 has in store!

SALON TODAY 200: GROWTH
Each year, Salon Today recognizes 200 salons across the country who make great strides in various areas of business. In 2019, we were honored to be recognized in the category of growth. As we continue to grow each year, we are reminded how far we’ve come. From a small salon to now 32 employees and a growth of 28% since last year, we will continue to set goals for the future while focusing on the small details of what we do each day. THE POSH BRIDAL EXPERIENCE
While we love doing hair and makeup for any occasion (or just for the average Wednesday!), we recognize how truly special the bridal hair and makeup experience is. Though we’ve offered bridal hair and makeup since we opened, this year we truly took it up a notch. Lizzy gained the title of “Bridal Coordinator” and we worked diligently to come up with a way to make bridal hair and makeup parties one of our most luxury services. With customized Posh bride gear, sweet snacks, and full-service hair and makeup for brides, their families, and friends, we’re excited for all that’s to come for our Posh brides on their most special day!
NEW EDUCATION
This year, we continued to bring in professionals from the world of Aveda to share their talents and skills with our stylists. Continuing education is something that we make a priority, with each of our stylists participating in workshops and learning from the best as they grow their abilities. One of the educational opportunities we had gave us the pleasure of hosting Janell Geason, Aveda’s Global Artistic Director for Makeup, who came to expand our bridal makeup knowledge. She shared techniques and styles for different bridal looks. In addition, Sarah Naslund, an Aveda Bridal Styling Educator, helped us finish our education into creating the total bridal look. Sarah crafted a class to enhance all special event styling as she coached our team in intricate updos and in every day tips and tricks to create a lasting style!
NEW PRODUCT LINES
Aveda continued to wow us with new products that we loved as much as you did! Two notable releases were Aveda’s new Vibrants line and the Nutriplenish. Vibrants provided vivid pops of color that can be customized to each client’s personal flair. The Vibrants line allowed clients to try out new colors that fit their own unique style. Aveda also launched Nutriplenish, a light and replenishing collection that was so popular it sold out the first day we had it in stock! We also began carrying leef organics, a line of unique CBD products that helped our clients (and even their pets!) find natural relief.
